Zagan
Dark sable
Smart, gentle, loyal, and wonderful with children. Zagan is the dog who started Capstone. This photo says almost everything about the family side of his temperament.
Strong working-line roots, exceptional intelligence and loyalty, and the kind of temperament that can make the right dog just as remarkable beside your family as on the training field.
Capstone began with Zagan, a West German Working Line German Shepherd chosen with plans to train and compete in Schutzhund/IGP. Life got in the way, and the competition career never happened.
What happened instead changed the direction of everything. Zagan showed that a dog bred with the intelligence, drive, confidence, loyalty, and working ability required for serious sport could also be an extraordinary family companion.
Our kennel name is proudly simple and easy to pronounce. Behind it are authentic West German Working Line pedigrees, with quality measured by health, temperament, structure, intelligence, and working ability—not by how complicated a kennel name sounds.
A working dog does not have to work for a living to have purpose. The right West German Working Line dog can thrive in sport, service, protection, or in a capable family home that understands what a highly intelligent dog needs.

These are highly intelligent dogs that need interaction, structure, training, exercise, and a relationship with their people. A police or sport home can be a great fit - and so can an active, capable family prepared to meet the dog in front of them.
Zagan and Zoey's “B” litter was born September 1. We will share more photos and updates as the puppies grow.

The farm is context, not decoration. Raising animals has long been part of daily life here, and the dogs grow up around the rhythms, sights, sounds, and responsibilities that come with it.
Over more than ten years in the cat fancy, our Bengals have earned Regional and International wins, including TICA's Best Silver Bengal in the World in 2017 and 2018. Today, we raise Bengals on a very limited basis, typically welcoming only one or two litters each year. This small, intentional program lets us give each cat and kitten the individual care and attention they deserve.
